Forensic cops scour park amid ongoing investigation
A LINWOOD park was sealed off while forensic cop crews scoured the area as part of an investigation.
Locals reported seeing the officers in parkland next to the A761 in the centre of town on Tuesday evening.
Several claimed a body had been recovered by the crews as the park, near Tesco, in Bridge Street, was sealed off from around 7pm.
But, police sources have told The Gazette this is not the case and, while remaining tight-lipped on the details, have confirmed items were "forensically" recovered as part of an ongoing investigation.
