Man arrested for alleged drink-drive offences after mechanic raises alarm
A MAN has been arrested for allegedly being found over the drink-drive limit...but only after he called for help when his car broke down.
The 49-year-old is said to have been driving near Castle Semple Loch, in Lochwinnoch, when his motor called it quits.
He called the AA to help but it was the mechanic who alerted cops about the man.
They arrived at the scene at around 5.15pm yesterday and later arrested him for allegedly being over the limit.
He is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court today.
