A CHARITY is on the lookout for chocoholics who are willing to test their will power by giving up their sweet treats for an entire month.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has challenged people to take on the Dechox challenge, which involves ditching chocolate for the month of March to raise funds for vital research into heart and circulatory diseases.
Tracy Parker, senior dietitian at the BHF, said: “Too much chocolate of any type can contribute to weight gain – a risk factor for heart and circulatory diseases.
“Dechox is the perfect opportunity to take a time out from chocolate but it’s also a great chance to enjoy other foods.”
The BHF has put together some tasty and nutritious treat ideas that can be eaten instead of chocolate next moth.
