Greenspace given new lease of life after £50k investment
HOWWOOD Park is looking better than ever, thanks to a facelift.
Following a successful application for £50,000 to Renfrewshire Council’s Green Spaces, Parks and Play Areas and Villages Investment Fund, which was match funded by LEADER Renfrewshire, Howwood Community Council has overseen the installation of new play equipment, comprising a zip slide, nest swing, roundabout, climbing frame, swing bars, a new football goal and picnic tables.
Further work will be completed later this year and the group also hopes to take over the unused pavilion in the park with a view to re-opening it for villagers to use.
