A BENCH in memory of pets that have passed away was unveiled at a ‘pooch party’ in Erskine.
Staged at the Erskine Community Garden, in Barwood Park, more than 20 owners and their dogs gathered to celebrate.
And during the event, a new bench was unveiled which was named in honour of a much-loved Rottweiler, called Bruno, who brought comfort to others as a ‘therapet.’
Heather Clisset, who organised the event, told The Gazette: “We did something similar in September and, since then, a lot of people have been asking us to do it again, so we used this event to unveil a bench that we had put in.
“It has been named after a dog called Bruno. His owner, Joan, didn’t know about the bench, so it was a lovely surprise for her.”
An area behind the bench, towards the tree line, is set to become a pet playground, with dog-friendly plants and flowers, as well as a mini obstacle course.
