Man arrested after he allegedly mows down victim in street
A JOHNSTONE man was left with serious fractures after he was mowed down in the street.
The 38-year-old was struck by a Ford Transit van as he walked along Rannoch Road around 5.30pm on Thursday.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, where he was treated for his injuries before being released.
His friend, a 32-year-old man, was also hurt during the incident but required no major treatment.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
