A CROOK broke into a historic Renfrew swimming baths before fleeing the scene with cash...and a floor cleaner.
Police have launched an investigation after the raid at the Victory Baths, in Inchinnan Road.
The thief gained entry through a side door some time between 2.30pm on Friday and 3.30pm on Monday.
While no major damage was done, it is understood the robber nabbed cash from a vending machine and also pinched a machine used for cleaning floors.
A spokesperson for Renfrewshire Leisure, who manage the baths, said: “It’s very disappointing that someone would break into a much-loved community facility that the thief’s family and friends most likely use and enjoy.
“The police are investigating the break-in."
