THREE men and two women have been charged after police recovered a large quantity of drugs and cash from a caravan in Renfrew.

Officers who went to Knockhill Road on another matter at around 6pm on Thursday, April 16, found a large bag that was reportedly filled with around 1kg of cannabis.

During the search, police also seized more than £100,000 in cash, as well as drugs believed to be cocaine and amphetamine.

A police spokesperson said all five suspects were arrested in connection with the raid and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
