A BRAVE pair of care home workers from Johnstone waved goodbye to their long locks as they raised more than £1,200 for a good cause.

Andrea Kyle and Wilma Johnston braved the shave last week to coin in cash for a party for residents at Lancefield Care Home, in Rankine Street, once the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted.

Family and friends were able to watch the special event on a Facebook livestream.

Andrea, nursing sister at Lancefield, said: “It’s a good feeling to know that we’ve done something that is going to benefit the residents.”
