A MAN has died after falling from a high-rise building in Linwood last night.

Emergency crews raced to Belmar Court at around 5.45pm after the body of a 37-year-old man was discovered.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and officers cordoned off the area around the block as an investigation got underway.

Police have confirmed the death is currently being treated as “unexplained” but detectives say there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A spokeswoman added: “Police Scotland was made aware of the death of a 37-year-old man at Langholm Drive, in Linwood, shortly after 5.45pm on Thursday.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
