A MAN has been charged with illegal possession of two knives after his car was searched by police in Johnstone.
Cops carried out a proactive stop on the vehicle in Beith Road at around 7.55pm on Friday and reportedly recovered a lock-back knife and craft blade from the car.
The 45-year-old suspect was taken into custody and later released.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
