RENFREWSHIRE groups have been handed a cash lifeline to help people through the coronavirus pandemic.
Nearly £300,000 from the Scottish Government’s Supporting Communities Fund will be shared by Linwood Community Development Trust (LCDT), Linstone Housing Association and Bridgewater Housing Association, in Erskine.
The largest award – £200,000 – is being given to Linstone Housing Association, with chief executive Irene Campbell describing the cash as “hugely welcome.”
She said: “It will turbo-charge our efforts to help our tenants and the wider community.”
LCDT is giving some of its £47,464 grant to two mental health organisations – Youth Interventions and Kickin On.
