POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted by a fellow dog-walker in Erskine.

The 56-year-old victim was pushed to the ground by a man near the rear of Park Mains High School at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 13.

It is understood the assault took place after a confrontation between the victim’s pooch and the suspect’s dog.

Police are looking to trace the suspect, who is described as 5ft 7ins tall and of stocky build. At the time, he was wearing a blue zipper, white shorts and blue trainers.

Anyone who has information is asked to call officers on 101.
