Glasgow Times:

Many cruise holidays have been postponed across the world due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

It was, however, previously reported that Peel Ports plans to receive the vessels with skeleton crews for short-term berths at King George V docks in Shieldhall.

Peel Ports said that it had received a number of requests from cruise companies who wanted to berth their ships on the Clyde.

It is understood that operators are laying up their vessels, with just crew members on board, until travel restrictions are lifted.

STV also reports that the ship is the 529 ft Azamara Pursuit which arrived from Miami.

It is understood that it spent weeks trying to find somewhere to dock in March after being rejected by Chile, which feared passengers had coronavirus.

After leaving Argentina in early March, it eventually reached Miami at the end of the month.

Its owner said that no passengers on board ever tested positive for Covid-19.
