POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were chased by a masked man wielding a silver baseball bat in Johnstone.

The victims, aged 18 and 19, were pursued by the thug in the town’s High Street, near the Rods ‘n’ Reels fishing store, at around 5pm on Wednesday, June 3.

Police said the 18-year-old boy was struck in the arm with the baseball bat but was not injured.

His attacker was wearing black clothes at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
