A WOMAN has been charged with three road traffic offences following reports of dangerous driving.

Police were first alerted to a road accident involving a black Ford Focus in High Street, Johnstone, at around 1.50pm on Tuesday, June 9.

The car reportedly crashed into multiple parked vehicles and road barriers, before being driven away from the scene.

It is claimed that, 10 minutes later, a car matching the same description was spotted driving erratically in Bridge of Weir with a flat front tyre.

Police soon located the vehicle in a car park near the village’s Main Street.

The 32-year-old driver of the car allegedly failed a roadside breath test and was taken into custody.

Police said the suspect is due to appear in court at a later date.
