POLICE have launched an investigation after a man’s body was found in a Renfrewshire park.

The 56-year-old man was discovered in East End Park, in the Seedhill area of Paisley, at around 11.10am on Saturday.

Police have confirmed the death is currently being treated as “unexplained” but detectives say there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

A police spokeswoman said: “A post-mortem examination will be taking place in due course to establish the cause of death.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
