A MAN has been arrested after being found in possession of a metal pole in Renfrew.
At around midnight on Saturday, the 28-year-old suspect left a taxi in the town's McClue Road, where he met with two other men.
The three men then became involved in a heated argument and a member of the public reported the dispute to the police.
When officers arrived at the scene, the two other men involved in the disturbance had disappeared and the suspect was taken into custody.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
