POLICE are hunting two thugs following an attack on a teenager in Renfrew last night.

The 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries to his torso when he was stabbed with a weapon in Houston Street at around midnight.

He was rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, where he underwent surgery to treat his wounds.

The two suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. One of the yobs is described as wearing light coloured clothing at the time, while the other was wearing darker clothes.

Police are treating the incident as a serious assault and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them on 101.
