A LEADING supermarket is offering shoppers in Renfrewshire the chance to enjoy a half price meal every day this month.
The offer – introduced as part of the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme – allows Morrisons customers to receive a 50 per cent discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, when dining in their cafes.
The government scheme is running the offer from Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until Monday, August 31.
However, Morrisons has extended the discount to run from Thursday to Sunday this month at its stores in Johnstone, Paisley and Erskine.
The offer is available for food and non-alcoholic beverages, but does not include takeaway purchases.
Elspeth Roxburgh, community champion at the Erskine store, told The Gazette: “We are trying to get as many people back to our cafes as we can while still having the appropriate social distancing measures in place.
“Visiting our café is a good way to get out for an hour to have a bite to eat, such as some cake or even just a cup of coffee.”
