A MAN has been arrested after a Lochwinnoch woman allegedly spotted him standing outside her house in the middle of the night.
The 51-year-old woman had got out of bed at around 11.15pm on Tuesday night to check the door at her Bridesmill Road home was locked when she reportedly saw the stranger standing next to a window.
She activated a panic alarm and, when police arrived, they found the suspect within the grounds.
Officers later charged him with being in the curtilage of a property without a reasonable excuse.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
