POLICE have appealed for information after thousands of pounds worth of tools were stolen from a building site in Bridge of Weir.
The theft took place at the site of a former care home in Kilmacolm Road at around 11.30pm on Monday, August 10.
Two men were spotted on CCTV getting out of a red van and removing fencing.
The suspects then stole a reversible plate compactor, thought to be worth around £2,000, and a road saw worth £1,000.
Footage from cameras covering the area is being reviewed as part of the police investigation.
Inspector Allan O’Hare, based in Renfrew, said: “If anybody has seen anything suspicious around this time or a red van in the area prior to or after this incident, please get in touch with us.”
