THE tenancy at a Johnstone pub is up for grabs amid plans for a major refurbishment.

Callum’s Bar, located in the town’s High Street, is set to be given a completely new look in a bid to attract new customers.

The watering hole, which has been a popular venue for local people over many years, has been closed since lockdown restrictions came into force at the end of March.

Pub bosses said in a statement to potential tenants that the planned refurbishment would transform the venue into an establishment that can be enjoyed by the whole community.

They added: “The refurbishment will introduce an updated interior, with an attractive contrast of comfortable furniture and decorative, antique-style finishes.

“A variety of attractive trading areas, a private function room and a range of premium drink and food options will ensure this pub thrives.

“Post-refurbishment, Callum’s will be a fantastic local pub where customers will love to spend their time, both day and night.

“It will offer a welcoming local pub, perfect for the whole community to enjoy, with a simple food menu, full of quality pub classics.”

Applications for the tenancy can be made online at findmypub.com/properties/view/26611.
