A MAN has been charged in connection with alleged firearm offences in Erskine.
Officers swooped on a property in Douglas Crescent on Saturday as part of an ongoing intelligence-led operation.
The 55-year-old suspect was arrested after a number of firearms and ammunition were reportedly recovered from the property.
Police said he was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
Detective Inspector Martin McGhee, of Police Scotland's specialist crime division, said: "We have recovered a number of firearms and ammunition following an intelligence-led operation. I would urge anyone who has information about the criminal use of firearms to contact Police Scotland on 101. Your information will be treated with the utmost confidence.
"If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can pass on information through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
