TWO Renfrewshire hotels will extend the Eat Out to Help Out (EOTHO) scheme this month.

The Lynnhurst Hotel, in Johnstone, and the Bowfield Hotel and Country Club, in Howwood, will continue to give restaurant customers a 50 per cent discount, up to a maximum of £10 per person, on Mondays to Wednesdays throughout September.

The EOTHO scheme was introduced last month by the UK Government in a bid to help the hospitality industry and encourage customers to ‘eat out’.

Manorview Hotels and Leisure, which owns both hotels, decided to extend the scheme to say thank you for their customers for showing their support.

David Tracey, managing director at Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, said: “The EOTHO scheme has been a successful initiative.

“We have welcomed many customers, old and new, into our venues and our team has a renewed sense of purpose.

“We have noted a nervousness among some people as they venture back outside.

“This has made us appreciate the efforts our customers have made to support us.

“As a result, we have decided to extend the EOTHO offer.

“We want to offer something extra to our customers to thank them and to help them enjoy the benefits of this scheme a little while longer.”

Other Manorview Group venues taking part in the discount include The Busby Hotel, in Glasgow, The Commercial Hotel, in North Lanarkshire and The Torrance Hotel in East Kilbride.
