POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a couple were attacked in a Renfrewshire street.
A man and a woman, both aged 24, had left The Ferry Inn on the early hours of Saturday morning when they were approached from behind by two unknown men.
The thugs then began kicking and punching the couple to the ground near Cottons Bar in Ferry Road at around 1.25am before making off.
Police said the victims were not injured but were left shaken by the incident.
The couple believe the two men had attended The Ferry Inn during the night but do not why they were targeted by them.
Both suspects are described as around 5ft 8ins to 9ins tall. One has short blonde hair and was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt with dark sleeves. The other has black hair and was wearing a black and white tracksuit.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the men, with CCTV footage currently being reviewed by cops.
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
