A WOMAN has been charged with racial breach of the peace and police assault.
Officers were called to Glasgow Road, Renfrew, on Wednesday evening after receiving reports concerning the wellbeing of a 27-year-old woman.
She was traced by police at a Paisley railway station and taken to a relative’s home, where she reportedly became abusive towards officers.
The woman allegedly began pushing and kicking them, before making racial comments towards one of the officers at around 7.30pm.
She was taken into custody and is due to appear in court today.
