ELDERSLIE Golf Club has asked local dog walkers to make sure their pooch is on a leash to prevent young deer from coming to any harm.

The club made the appeal on its social media channels on Monday after observing a high number of fawn accompanied by their mothers on their course recently.

The club have even shared a couple of photos of the deer on social media in recent weeks.

A spokesperson for Elderslie Golf Club said: “We have a lot of baby deer on the course just now and we ask if dog walkers can be mindful and please keep their dog on a lead while walking on the course.”
