POLICE have appealed for information after hundreds of pounds worth of gadgets were stolen from a house in Renfrew.

The theft took place in Renfield Street sometime between 6pm on Friday and 1.35pm on Sunday, when the 26-year-old resident returned to his home.

On arrival, he discovered there was damage to the lock on his front door.

Among the goods taken during the raid were a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, as well as a Playstation games console and headset, thought to be worth £1,300 overall.

Inspector Allan O’Hare, based in Renfrew, said: “If anyone has recently seen any of these items for sale from a suspicious seller, please get in touch with us.”
