POLICE are on the trail of a man who racially abused a security guard at the IKEA store in Renfrew.
The 59-year-old victim had been called to the customer service desk at around 7.30pm on Thursday, September 17, after a man caused a disturbance.
Police said the security guard attempted to calm the customer, who responded by shouting racist comments.
The yob was then escorted from the store and told he was barred.
He is described as in his early 40s, around 5ft 10ins tall, with short ginger hair, a beard and green eyes.
At the time, he was wearing a brown jumper with white stitching and drove away in a dark-coloured Nissan.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
