A MAN and a woman have been arrested after a disturbance at a Bishopton pub left two people injured.

It is claimed a 49-year-old woman attacked the 46-year-old bar manager after she challenged the two suspects over their disruptive behaviour in Lorimers on Saturday night.

The bar owner attempted to intervene and was also reportedly attacked by the woman, before allegedly being assaulted by a 44-year-old man.

Two arrests were made after the police were alerted.

Officers said the bar manager suffered a cut near her eye, while the bar owner was left with grazes to his head and body.

Both were treated by paramedics at the scene and did not need hospital treatment.

The two suspects have been charged with assault and breach of the peace and were released on an undertaking but are due to appear in court at a later date.
