POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in a Renfrewshire street.
The 54-year-old victim suffered head injuries after being attacked near the Keystore, in New Inchinnan Road, Paisley, at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
He was taken to the town’s Royal Alexandra Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
His attacker was wearing a blue polo shirt at the time and is believed to have been accompanied by another man in a white Transit van.
A police spokesperson said enquiries are ongoing and CCTV footage is currently being reviewed.
Witnesses and anyone else who has information is asked to call officers on 101.
