POLICE are hunting a thug who attacked a man in a Linwood street.
The 63-year-old victim was assaulted in Abernethy Drive at around 9am on Monday, after he intervened in a heated argument between the yob and two women.
He suffered a cut to his head but did not need hospital treatment.
Police said the suspect may have been in possession of a knife at the time.
Inspector Allan O’Hare, head of community policing for Renfrewshire, added: “If anybody has witnessed this incident or can help us identify the suspect, please get in touch with us.”
