A man died on a Gorbals street yesterday afternoon as police cordoned the scene off.
The force had received reports of concern for a man's welfare before they were called to the junction between Bridge Street and Oxford Street at around 3.10pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after.
Police are now treating the death as "unexplained" while a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswomansaid: "We were made aware of concerns for a man near the junction of Bridge Street and Oxford Street in Glasgow around 3.10pm on Sunday, 4 October.
"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
"His death is currently being treated as unexplained and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
