THREE teenagers have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal after allegedly stealing bottles of champagne from a Bridge of Weir care home.
Police were called to the building, in the village’s Main Street, at around 6.30am on Monday after a security guard reported a break-in and anti-social behaviour.
Officers reportedly found two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl in a bedroom, in possession of six bottles of champagne.
The three suspects have been charged with theft and being found in enclosed premises.
It is understood that the champagne was to be used for the official opening of the new care home next week, which is still scheduled to go ahead.
