A CAFE in Largs town centre has had to close its doors after a member of staff contracted Covid-19.
Signs went up on Cafe Renard in Tron Place at the weekend saying that the eatery was shut while a deep clean took place.
Owner John Fox said: "We had a case of Covid-19 identified on the premises last Friday and had to close.
"We spoke to Environmental Health at North Ayrshire Council who had advised us to close for for a deep clean.
"The staff member in question is self isolating for a period of ten days."
