A DESPERATE thief has sunk to a new low...by stealing an inflatable boat from a Renfrewshire field.
The boat's 30-year-old owner had left it near the River Gryfe, in Inchinnan, at around 4pm on Monday and returned six hours later to find both it and the trailer it was attached to had been pinched.
It is understood the grey boat, which is about three metres long, is worth around £1,200.
Once deflated, both the boat and the trailer can be folded up so they fit inside a large car.
Police want to hear from anyone who spotted suspicious activity at the scene, near Houston Road, at the time or who has other information about the theft.
Call officers on 101 if you can help.
