PURCHASING a Christmas tree can help in more ways than spreading festive cheer - with proceeds from these trees helping the homeless.
The Bethany Christian Trust is calling for more support for their 'Caring Christmas Tree' initiative amid a "challenging" year.
Priced from £35, proceeds from the Nordman fir trees will go towards support the work of the homelessness charity.
The 'Caring Christmas Trees' will be available for collection at various location in Glasgow, as well as delivery across the city at the end of November and early December.
The initiative has been running for over 15 years but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the charity says there is a greater need for support.

Chief executive of the charity, Alasdair Bennett, said: "Christmas Trees are such a typical feature of a traditional Christmas and are a common sight in most houses across Scotland.
"This Christmas is going to be different for most of us; imagine how much more challenging it can be for people who are facing homelessness.
"By purchasing a Caring Christmas Tree you will be opening up your Christmas and giving a lifeline to support families and individuals in need this winter.
"We also have a virtual option! Please spread the word of this excellent opportunity.”
All collection sites will be organised for physically distanced pick-up.
The trees are available to purchase at www.caringchristmastrees.com or by calling 0345 111 8733.
