POLICE are on the trail of a crook who stole a blue Transit van in Inchinnan.
The vehicle was securely locked at a layby in Inchinnan Drive at around 10.15pm on Monday.
However, the 41-year-old owner, who was in possession of the key, discovered it had been stolen less than two hours later.
Police are keen to hear from the owners of several other vehicles, including a grey Vauxhall car, that were parked in the layby at the same time.
Inspector Allan O’Hare, head of community policing for Renfrewshire, said: "If you are the owner of one of the vehicles parked near the van at this time, please get in touch."
Call 101 if you have any information.
