A driver was seriously assaulted after a two-vehicle crash on Great Western Road on Thursday.

Two cars, a black Volkswagen Golf and Skoda were driven erratically from Knightswood towards Clydebank before crashing on the major road around 6.45pm on November 12.

The male occupants of the Skoda then attacked the Golf and its occupants.

A 17-year old, who was driving the Golf, was seriously injured in the attack. 

Two other occupants of the Volkswagen were not injured in the incident. 

Detective Sergeant Peter Jarvis said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this violent attack or the erratic driving which preceded it to please come forward.

"We are also keen to receive any potential dashcam footage from motorists who were in the area around the time in question and may have witnessed the crash.”
