THE Scottish Government have revelaed their justification for moving Renfrewshire into the toughest level of restrictions.

The information, which has been published as a part of the weekly Covid-19 stratergic framework review, sets out data and analysis supporting the decisoins made across the country which will see Renfrewshire move into Level four restrctions this Friday.

A total of 11 council areas are set to enter the highest level of Scotland's tier system at 6pm on Friday 20 Novmber .

Speaking about the decisoin to move areas into level four restrictions, Nicola Sturgeon said: "That is why, allbeit reluctantly, we have taken the decision to place these areas in level four for a limited period.

"The level four restrcitions will be in place for three weeks- and will be lifted on 11 December."

In the document, it makes clear that decisions have to be based firmly in the best available evidence, assessed through through a process that is open, transparent and collaborative and frequently reviewed so that restirctions are not kept in place longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the aim of suppressing the virus.
