IT was a tall order for workers when they were asked to inspect a Johnstone high rise.
Keen photographer Joe Reilly, of Johnstone Community Camera Club, snapped this image of safety assessments being carried out at Provost Close last week.
In February, Renfrewshire Council awarded an £868,000 contract to Concrete Repairs Limited to carry out a condition survey on 14 multi-storey blocks across the local area to inform repair and maintenance work needed over the next 10 to 15 years.
The survey follows recent moves by council chiefs to ensure all high-rise blocks are safe and fit for purpose following the Grenfell Tower fire in London in 2017.
A council spokesperson told The Gazette: “We regularly assess all of our housing as part of our ongoing maintenance planning.”
