A MAN has been charged with breach of the peace, resisting arrest and police assault following an incident in Renfrew.
Officers were called to Ness Road at around 4am on Saturday after receiving reports of a man acting aggressively in the street.
When police arrived, the suspect was reportedly seen trying to enter a relative's property.

As the officers approached, the man allegedly started shouting abuse at them before putting up a struggle when they tried to arrest him.
It is claimed he then tried to kick one of the officers but was eventually restrained and taken into custody.
He was later released and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
