A MAN has been arrested for assault following a disturbance in Renfrew.
Officers on patrol in Paisley Road at around 3.30pm on Saturday reportedly spotted the 32-year-old suspect shouting abuse at a 24-year-old man.
It is alleged he then punched the younger man in the face.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody and the other man did not need hospital treatment.
A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
