CONTACT tracing is being carried out at an additional needs school in Linwood following the reopening of schools last week.

Bosses at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) confirmed a Test and Protect team has established a list of close contacts within Riverbrae School.

Those identified as close contacts have been advised to self-isolate at home as a precaution.

A spokesperson for NHSGGC said: "Our Test and Protect team is carrying out COVID-19 contact tracing linked to Riverbrae School.

"To respect and maintain patient confidentiality, no further details will be released but we can confirm close contacts are being advised to self-isolate and being given advice and support.

"Apart from those who are identified as close contacts, all other staff and pupils can continue to attend as normal."

Some pupils returned to local schools last week, with the next stage on hold until Monday, March 15.

All children in P4-7 will go back to school on a full-time basis from March 15, while a phased return of secondary school pupils will take place between this date and the Easter break, before full-time schooling returns after the holidays.
