POLICE are appealing for information after two separate incidents of wilful fireraising in Johnstone.
A crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to Thornhill at around 9pm last night to deal with a car that had been set alight.
Firefighters put out the flames emerging from the silver Volkswagen Golf, which suffered around £200 worth of damage.
Then, at around 3.20am this morning, emergency services rushed to Thornhill again, where they found six old tyres and litter ablaze.

It is understood that no-one was injured during either incident but police have confirmed both are being treated as wilful fireraising.
The incidents follow a fire started in Thornhill on Wednesday, at around 11.30pm, when a mobile phone mast was extensively damaged after a wheelie bin was torched.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information regarding any of the three incidents is asked to call the police on 101.
