POLICE have appealed for help to find a Johnstone man who was last seen in Paisley.

David Roach, 32, is believed to have been involved in a road traffic collision in Stanley Road at around 9.20am on Saturday, 27 February, however left the scene prior to police arrival and has not been seen since.

There is growing concern for David's welfare and it is unknown if he sustained any injuries from the crash.

Over the past week, officers have been conducting a number of enquiries to trace him but his current whereabouts remain unknown.

David is described as white, around 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build with brown hair. When last seen, he was clean shaven and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and shorts.

Inspector Harkin, at Mill Street Police Station, said: "We urgently need to know that David is okay. While we believe he walked away from the crash, it is not known if he was injured and could have become unwell later.

"We'd ask anyone who has seen, or spoken to David in the past week, or who knows of his current whereabouts, to contact officers as soon as possible. If David sees this appeal then we'd also urge him to let us know that he is safe."

Anyone who may have seen David or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts is asked to contact police via 101, quoting incident number 1092 of February 27.
