A TEENAGER from Johnstone has been fined a total of £900 after being found in breach of Covid regulations for a fourth time.

The 18-year-old woman was issued with a £480 ticket after officers attended an illegal gathering in Ryefield Avenue at around 3.40am on Saturday.

Six revellers found within her property were then ordered to go home.

Police issued three further tickets in Johnstone later that day, at around 9.30pm, after receiving a noise complaint.

Two men, both aged 24, and a 25-year-old woman were issued with a fixed penalty notice after they found at a property in Spateston Road.

Anyone who flouts the ban on indoor gatherings during lockdown can expect to receive a Covid ticket that will cost them £60.

The fine rises to £120 for a second ticket, £240 for a third and £480 for a fourth.

Depending on the circumstances, the offender could also face a charge of culpable and reckless conduct.
