A MAN has been arrested in connection with a disturbance in Johnstone this afternoon.
The 29-year-old suspect was arrested by police after they attended a property in Macdowall Street at around 2.10pm.
Police said the incident was contained and there was no risk to the wider public.
It is understood officers cordoned off an area of the street earlier this afternoon, with fire crews also in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a property on Macdowall Street in Johnstone around 2.10pm.
"A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection. The incident was contained and there was no risk to the wider public."
