Children at Howwood Primary were on ‘red alert’ as they showed their support for Comic Relief.
The school’s fundraising fun included everything from telling jokes to taking part in egg-and-spoon races.
Shirley Ormond, headteacher, said the school has remained a positive place to be, despite the challenges created by the Covid pandemic.
She added: “A year ago, we had to shut our doors. No-one could imagine what would be ahead of us. Luckily, at Howwood Primary, we worked together to support each other through the lows and made plenty of opportunities to share good news and to laugh together.”
“Lockdown has limited in many ways the opportunities offered to the children. However, they have continued to be active fundraisers, supporting Macmillan, the foodbank, NHS charities, Cancer Research and now Comic Relief.”
